Back in the day, smart travellers could make savings by flying out on
Tuesdays instead of the weekend, or switching to smaller airports. But
times change – and so do airline pricing models. We analysed three years
of Skyscanner booking data,Cheap Flights from Shanghai to Phuket and discovered some surprising new money-saving tricks.
of us research our holiday plans during the week, then discuss the
options with our travelling companions at the weekend. But if you go
online on a Saturday to buy your tickets, you could be paying over the
odds. Airline pricing models are fluid, so a price you see one day (or
even minute!) might increase or decrease the next. The airlines keep
their pricing model data close to their chests, so there’s no set rule
about when is the best time to whip out your plastic.
looking at three years’ worth of data (2015-2017), we found that
travellers who bought their tickets on a Saturday paid on average 5%
more than those who went online to make their purchase on a Monday. On a
£500 flight, that’s £25. While it might not make a huge difference for
the cheapest fares (after all, how much lower can a £9.99 flight go?),
for group trips or pricey flights, it could be worth the wait.

Chances are you’re familiar with Google Flights. The travel search
engine does everything you assume it would, like locate flights based on
your ideal outbound time, inbound time and number of stops. After all,
it’s the same technology that powers both KAYAK and Orbitz.台灣上海機票
site also includes a whole host of features that aren’t so easy to
imagine, probably because they’re so unimaginably amazing. In some
cases, this online tool can beat out any human travel agent. Don’t
believe us? Check out these seven tricks below.
1. Get alerts when prices are about to skyrocket.
you’re using Google Flights on your phone, you may see pop-up
notifications that tell you when prices are likely to increase for
specific flights. The notifications aren’t available on every route, and
you can’t control when they appear, but they’re a handy way to predict
how much time you have left to book before prices jump. Pay attention
when you see them!2. Don’t know where to go? Search for a general
region, and see a map of specific flight prices.
“flights to Europe” and click the Flights tab below the search box. A
map of the entire continent will pop up, along with prices. You’ll be
able to compare how much it would cost to fly to London versus Paris —
and you can even filter the options by type of airline, duration of
flight and price you’re willing to pay.
3. Or go with “I’m feeling lucky” to let Google plan your dream trip.
“I’m feeling lucky” does for search, it also does for flights. Click on
a map within Google Flights, pick your departure spot, and click the
“I’m Feeling Lucky” button to let Google choose a destination based on
your search history and what’s popular. You’ll also see a bar graph
letting you know when flights will be at their cheapest.
line travel agencies make it easy to search a wide variety of airfare
and hotel options, but what you get in convenience you lose in benefits
and protections. As TPG Contributor Akash Gupta explains, it’s almost
always smarter to book directly with the travel provider.広島から成田
the past few years, airlines and hotels have been endeavoring to cut
online travel agencies (OTAs) like Expedia and Priceline from the
booking process in an effort to bolster profits. But putting aside the
interests of travel brands, are there any tangible advantages to booking
directly with the service provider? You bet there are! By booking
direct, you enjoy some distinct advantages. Here are seven of them:
1. You’re usually guaranteed to get the lowest price available.
encountered numerous instances when prices quoted by travel integration
platforms were much higher than on airlines’ or hotels’ own websites.
The most recent example of this was a fare from LAX to DFW on Spirit.
Whereas Spirit’s own website displayed just $68 round-trip, OTAs showed
prices between $126 and $176 – a difference of at least 85% for the same
flights! It’s not surprising to find similar differences in prices for
Even in cases where you find lower fares or room rates
elsewhere, you can simply call the airline or hotel to take advantage of
the “best rate guarantee” that’s commonplace nowadays. They’ll either
match the price or refund the difference, potentially even throwing in
credit vouchers or discount codes for use on future bookings.
There are four companies that dominate the cable tie industry. We are
the smallest of the four, but we think we make the best product and
provide the best service. In fact, there was an independent study that
was done that supports that statement.
What is your biggest-selling cable tie?
7-inch tie is the biggest seller. We sell 400 million a year. Our sizes
range from 7 inches to 48. The 48-inch tie is made for the air
conditioning industry. We sell about 36 million of those a year.
Somebody in the air conditioning industry once asked me why we didn’t
make a 48-inch tie, so we did. Before we manufactured that length, they
were using duct tape and metal wiring.
Do you test your cable ties to make sure they are strong, dependable and easy to use?
have a Quality Control Department that performs three tests to
determine flexibility, ease of insertion and overall strength. We strive
for the highest tensile strength with the lowest insertion force.
Underwriters Laboratories sets the standard strength for the industry
and we’re often twice that strength, so it’s a dependable tie.... view this document
